This version is designed to protect the integrity of locs while still delivering medicinal scalp care.

Preparation Differences

  • Prepare marshmallow root and slippery elm tea the same way.

  • Strain the tea completely to ensure no herbal particles remain.

  • Add all ingredients to a double boiler as above.

  • While still very warm:

    • Sift through a fine mesh strainer

    • Then strain again through a nut-milk bag

    • This will significantly reduce herbal residue.

How to Use on Locs

  • Apply ONLY to the scalp.

  • Use your preferred loc-safe shampoo on the loced strands.

  • Rinse with warm water.

  • Follow with a natural conditioner to lock in moisture and prevent breakage.
